• Governor of Khafji presents new projects in the province and invites businessmen to benefit from them

    On Tuesday, December 18, 2018,  a delegation from Asharqia Chamber attended a meeting at Khafji, which is headed by the Chairman of Asharqia Chamber Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi.

     The meeting was attended by board member Saadoun Al Khalidi, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Business Council at Khafji Branch Mohammed Fawaz al-Subai, and the Secretary-General of the Chamber Abdulrahman Al-Wabil.

     

    During the meeting, His Excellency the Governor of Khafji, Mohammed bin Sultan Al-Hazza, stressed the importance of the role of the private sector in making a qualitative leap that is required in the economic activity in the province of Khafji, because the province has a stimulating advantage as given by the overall investment environment in the Eastern Province and the province of Khafji in particular.

    He expressed the full readiness of the province to maintain the support of businessmen and overcome the difficulties in front of them.

     

    He stressed that the province supports any effort that serves the citizens of Khafji and residents.

    Therefore, serious negotiations are under way to facilitate the opening of a civilian airport in the province that would be benefiting citizens in their movements and contributing to the commercial movement to and from Khafji.

    He pointed out that the province sought to solve the problem of highways with the Ministry of Transport as most of the problems in this aspect has been solved.

    Within this framework, he said that the province will witness in the near future the launch of a marina for ships and boats in order to serve the province both in commercial and tourist levels.

    It is because that the province lies a long distance on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, as this involves a range of investment opportunities for business.

     

    He added that in terms of tourism as well as the province will witness the launch of an integrated tourist village and a beach for the disabled people, which supports the tourism movement that is witnessed by the country.

    He welcomed the efforts of Asharqia Chamber in communicating with the concerned authorities in the province to establish an industrial city in Khafji.

    He said that this city will be a good supporter of the quality of life in the province, and support all our development options that are confirmed by the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

     

    At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber AlKhalidi presented a souvenir to His Excellency Governor Al-Hazza.​
